Alison F. Kidder
My name is Alison (but most call me Ali) and I am a self-taught photographer. Photography is not only my hobby, it’s my passion and I love taking photos of all things nature. My camera is my constant companion, as I see beauty everywhere. Every photo is momentary and to uniquely capture it is opportunistic. As such, each day I allow myself an extra half hour for my drive to work (my “real” job) so I can capture the beauty along the way. Most of my photos are taken in the spur of the moment, which I believe makes for a more natural aesthetic.
Being a lifelong New Englander, with the good fortune of living through the four distinct seasons, has only enhanced my love for photography. However, I believe it all started with my Grandma who was always taking pictures of us grandchildren. There was never a moment she wasn’t snapping pictures of us enjoying our activities. Her photos remind me of the small joys in living.
Of course, none of this would be possible if not for the support of my loving husband, family, and friends. As we all know, life can be fleeting and being able to capture memories through photographs is the best way to reminisce.
